Taking the idea previously stated by Comrade Orpheon, I say we create an art related forum but in order to enter a minimun of 700 posts are needed or a personal invite from an admin. Originaly I thought 1000 posts to enter but thats insane.

Maybe 750 instead of 700, and have the invite from an admin like you said.

But that'd mean that people like me who don't post as often as some people(looks at Omega) wouldn't be able to get in for awhile.

I think that there should be an art forum on this board also, but, I don't see why it should be restricted to members with 700 plus posts or a special invitation from an Admin...

We had members claim art as their own, twice. Or was it 3 times? We have quite a few artists here and no one wants some random guy steal their work.

Maybe the admins can create a group and permission mask for members that rip, and prevent them from using the forum. This way, only the rippers will be restricted, instead of most/all of the members with low a post count.

It won't just be high post count people there.........people who have been here a while and are trusted could get in also........

2nd new idea, simply make one of those organisation accounts on deviantart and link one another there.

Well, both ideas are great, but I think an area here would be the best......if a new member wants in, they can PM an Admin with some of their work, and the work can be be checked out, and if it is good and not copied, then they can get in......

I am just showing off something in my sig for a bit, it will be gone soon.

The more we discuss this the more I like the idea, I hope an admin will like the idea.

cool, thats a good idea... but what if the artwork or something is like hidden in say, a japanese forum or some other weird forum?

btw, isin't that a little to strict? What if someone comes along and wants to display artwork to show to everyone... is the forum gonna be shown as, 'read-only'?

1. We have a good picture finder team.
2. If people want to show EVERYONE, they can do a deviant art account and put their link in their sig or something......
3. We should have an area that only trusted people can see.

I think the forum would be password protected and you would get the pass off an admin.

The rippers would be placed in that group, and they would be the only ones that couldn't see or post in the forum. Everyone else could see and post in it though.

Passwords can be changed and bannings can be passed out, simple as that. Also there was a large team of members who all searched for the image and got the same result independently.
