i have tried to skip power grip many times unsuccessfully, i was wondering if anyone knows whether you need it or not? has ANYONE successfully skiped it? i need to know if im just not trying or searching hard enough.

Unless you can skip that Unknown Item no. I've tried but ypu can't go back the way you came and you can't get past it because if you can jump over the blocks (I have) the door on the other side is locked.

As soon as you enter norfair, there's no way out(except Crateria)! You'll need ice beam(via power grip).

hmm thats dissapointing. i know what you mean omega, i have done a quick fallblock jump over it and sadly it was locked.

i DID find a cool glitch in the game however!!! im going to record it and put it online. maybe even offer it to Metroid2002 :D

i appologise for the effort required and download. i wanted to host the original recording (109MB) somewhere but nowhere would hoste it for free that i could find. so i re did it much faster and with only the most important stuff.

If you read the rules we don't want people to reference any illegal hardware. And please stop advertising metroid2002 in almost every post.

There is this way to skip it. There was a post about it. I still remember it.
Go to the big room with the area with that ball thingy when you skip the power grip.
Go up to the highest platform in that room(not that area with the missile). Then turn into moprh ball and through the wall, you will fall through the other side of that ball.
