kay, when he charges at you, grip onto the thing and fire diagonally, then go to the end of the block that you're firing, then aim diagonal down and fire!

Just use Missiles on the thing and it'll be done in a snap. And I've previously done the w/out Long Beam run and the Acid Worm can not even be DAMGED by the Beam.

maybe you didn't have the ice beam either, but trust me, with the ice beam and the....beam, it can hurt him.

i was suprised that it was quite a challenged, finally i gave up on MB, it was only because i didn't have the screw attack!!!

yeah you get the ice beam before the acid worm, unless you skip it. you can get wave beam before the acid worm too. but i didnt realise beams hurt it. it does though. (i think)
but wouldnt it be easier to use the missiles (how ever few you have on 9% run) and maybe restock them throughout the fight? hmm actually that sounds harder.

I know how to skip the acid worm. I did it once. I first saw the video in Metroid2002
and tryed copying it. It's harder than it looks!
