Title: metroid items
Description: post your ideas

fungo - April 4, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
post any ideas that you have for new metroid weapons or items.

my ideas-

multimissile launcher- launches ten small missiles that will home in on targets. each does half the damage of a normal missile.

Gearmaster - April 4, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
I believe that the "Seeker Missile" already does that, it lauches five misile that do full damage, thus making your irrelevant. As for me, a beam that has a continuos fire rate, making a long sweeping beam of destruction.

Wood beam!!11! Haha, just kidding.
How about adding something new to the Morph Ball? Razors?

Gearmaster - April 4, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
I knew you would say that Mr. YTMND watcher.

That's a great Idea, just don't make it a GODDAMN GAYBLADE!

Kraid 2 cool - April 5, 2007 11:57 AM (GMT)
What I had in mind was something more like the screw attack, but for the morph ball.

miles07 - April 5, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
*applauds for K2C*

I have an idea: Meltdown form. Samus turns into an immobile liquid for a few seconds to... I don't know. I played Golden Sun 2 and the psynergy SAND came to mind...

Kraid 2 cool - April 5, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
You made me think of Castlevania: Symphony of the night, the ''form of mist''...
It's nothing wrong with adding something new to a metroid game, it does not have to be classic gameplay all the time.
Would it be cool to have a tackle attack? Like: ''Run! Oh! A Geemer, tackle it!''
More acrobatic skills would be cool. Make a little flip and when you land you'll turn into morph ball instantly.

miles07 - April 5, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
I had some ideas from my old... dead... fangame:
  • Modified Pirate Blades
  • A light-enough-to-carry-but-still-effective-for-whatever-you-want Chozo Mirror (like from Zerø Missiøn)
  • Napalm Grenades
  • A Hover Pack (like Space Jump Boots, except while you're standing up)
  • Some sort of a photo-sensitive suit (meaning that while you're in direct sunlight, you gain new abilities or whatnot..?
The list goes on and on.

SpacePirate - April 6, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
I got one. What about the... something-mode. I'm not good with names.

For an amount of your energy, you could double your power and destroy something special... for example something blocking your path... i don't know... you know, useless and crazy ideas from my head...

... yeah...

Samus_metroid - April 6, 2007 04:29 AM (GMT)
I got 1 ....

The NEW Missles that are gas grenades to cloak when very badly damaged. :D

Kraid 2 cool - April 6, 2007 03:00 PM (GMT)
A normal cloaking device would be less complicated...

this reminds me of one thing i was thinking of. so you lock onto an enemy or a wall, and then you go shooting at them in screw mode or something like that.

Shrander - April 7, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
Hyper Attack possibly.
Something similar to how Shine Sparking was on Super Metroid, used up health to use.

miles07 - April 7, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Gamma Visor: used to see sources of radioactivity such as Phazon. Even though the Thermal Visor already has that, the Gamma Visor also can detect any poisonous, venomous, and biohazardous substances in any environment.

fungo - April 14, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
a visor that lets you see any thing dangerous? that sounds cool.

miles07 - April 14, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
THNX!

Gearmaster - April 15, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
I belive there is a function that does that already, its called the danger meter. Its on the side of the HUD.

Axion - April 15, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
Please don't steal these ideas, I plan on using it in my fangame ..

Frost Bombs.

Very similar to Power Bombs, but instead of destroying everything in the room, it freezes everything in the room. Need to get across a large body of deep water, and don't have the gravity suit? Lay one of these babies and boom .. a new bridge has formed. Be quick though, it doesn't last forever! (Diffusion Missile knock off).

Oh, and what happens when you are being swarmed by enemies, and want to gain the advantage? Lay a Frost Bomb, and wham, time for them stands still why you blast their frozen brains out.

Speaking of time:

The Chrono Suit.

Fill up the meter with special Chronic Energy, and with the press of a special button, freeze time for a moment. You can then target lock multiple enemies with a special weapon, move out of danger, and release the time lock ... Watch your enemies get blown away out of thin air.

About to die? Its okay! Just revert to one of the many Chrono Stones spread throughout the game. Its just like saving, but much faster.

Want to get past a certain area, but don't want to waste energy killing all the bad guys? Freeze time and waltz your way on through.

And here is the fun one: The idea was stolen, of course, from Sonic CD (greatest Sonic game ever). If you come across an area that is not passable, and you have the proper chronic artifacts for the area, just activate and bam. Go either forward or backward, depending on the artifact you use, and get through the area using items or objects located in the past or future. Kind of like what you had to do in MP2:E ...

Those are two of my favorite ideas. I have a lot but it would take forever to type >_>

Dragon - April 15, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
Pretty good ideas. Here are some I just thought up:

A-13 Energy seperating rifle:
This is a unique weapon created on the BSL Station, but due
to the X invasion was never used in combat. This weapon does
not work by shooing beams or projectiles, but rather by
concentrating large ammounts of energy to specific coordinates.
Once the coordinates are ampped out, energy from that area will
be comply seperated, creating a form of electric explosion, capable
of whiping out even the strongest of creatures. However, the weapon
requires massive ammou nts of power to function, which is it's
number one flaw.

Demential Rift Gun:
Why waste your time finding long alternate routes to get from
point A to point B? Why waste your ammuniton trying to kill
a creature in your way? We at the Federation Technologies
don't think you should be bothered with such obsticles. This is
why we have created the Demential Rift Gun, powered by an
active phazon core, this weapon can target multiple objects and
send them straight into oblivion! The phazon core produces
enough radioactive energy to simulate the twin dementions as
seen on planet Aether. Targeting an enemy and pressing primary
fire willopen up a hole from this world, into the other world created
by the phazon core. The enemy will be ported directly to the artificial
phazon environment, and the demential rift will close behind it. A new
feature on this weapon includes the ability for the person carrying the gun
to leap back and forth between the tein dementions. Pressing the secondary
fire will send you into the phazon demention, allowing you to open up
many holes in both dementions to travel much faster.

Axion - April 15, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
Those are some good ideas too. By the way, that made me laugh, the way your wrote that .. "We at the Federation Technologies
don't think you should be bothered with such obsticles." Good stuff.

I have another one: sort of a Portal knock off crossed with the Shine Spark. Its called:

Propel Beam.

This beam, unlike most others, is not a conventional weapon, so to speak. You fire it in a direction, and instead of a beam coming out, you yourself are shot at high speed in that direction. If there are enemies in your way, they will be totally obliterated, and you can also use this ability to reach new areas. You must have the meter full though, to keep this feature balanced .. otherwise it would be like a speed hack. And maybe, possibly, when you hit certain objects, you lose a bit of health ..

I dunno. Dumb idea.

fungo - April 16, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)

axion-
propel beam-
interesting idea. you could make some fun levels with that. it would be best in 3d, but its still a good idea.

frost bombs-
now that is a cool weapon. i like it.

dragon-
i like the energy rifle. it seems to be a good 2d weapon,, because you can target alot more accurately in 2d.

rift gun-
a good puzzle item. rather powerful as a weapon, but still a good idea.

miles07 - April 16, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
Search this site for some ideas. Just give them credit if you use them!

gilsthelizard - July 13, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
my idea of an items are:

phazon exosuit(go to rp and to planet-x store to get one)which makes you tall and go threw phazon

Gearmaster - July 13, 2007 03:37 AM (GMT)
Hover boots, being able to remain stationary in the air for hort periods of time without space jumping or performing any other actions.

Zeta Blade - July 13, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
Biological Weapon-

Once shot at an opponent it infects them with a disgusting flesh eating parasite that rapidly eats your opponent. The small parasite also has acid to burn through armour.

The Map Loader 350

Not the most useful item but it downloads a map automatically as soon as you arrive on a new planet without going to a map station.

Hack Visor V6

It allows you to hack into foreign and human computer databases with relative ease it also allows you to control machines that could only normally be activated by controls or a by a person with authorization to use it. It can scan the landscape and tell wither parts of the landscape are safe or dangerous.

Death Flayer

The "Death Flayer" is a weapon that works exactly like a black hole but at a smaller scale, it lets out a deadly neuron wave [Like the flamethrower in MP} and when it comes into anything living it tears it apart atom by atom, much like a a black hole. It runs on a rechargeable nuclear power core that needs charging every so often.

Entangler Grenade

When released it coveres a wide area in weird sort of alien flora that strangles anything within it's blast radius.

miles07 - July 13, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)
Death Flayer = nanite disassemblers

-_- Hmm... Me like. B)

yes in MP2 didnt the dark beam do that if you charged it or was it when mixed with th light beam, somthin like that, and somethin i think would be cool is a like a knife that pops out of Samus' arm with out the gun and stabs the enemy. for melee combat

Dragon - September 16, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Hazard Suit-
The hazard suit is a combination of GF and Chozo Technologies. This suit allows it's user to enter dangerous or harsh environments without harm. The Hazard Suit consists of a small shielding unit which connects to the Troopers back, and expels a strong barrier around the user, keeping him or her safe from the outside environment. Currently the hazard suit can allow troops to navigate low oxygen areas, survive extream pressured environments, and can slo be used to protect the user from enemy attacks. However, the hazard suit comes with one major disadvantage, it is powered by a Type-6 Fusion Core, and it cannot keep up the shielding up for long and must recharge in a location in which there are is no harm coming to the unit. Also, the hazard suits shielding energy can be damaged by enemy attacks and projectiles, damaging the user and worse, lowering the units charge.

SM-X - September 16, 2007 11:51 PM (GMT)
Beam Weapons:

Distortion Beam (Rips open holes in space-time, when charged. Slows enemies when fired normally.)

Charge Combos:

Singularity (Distortion Beam missile combo, forms a micro-black hole.)

I have something called Gear Ball in my game. It's like M2's Spider Ball; you can climb up jagged walls with it. You can also operate spinners, machinery, water wheels, etc.

Don't steal meh ideas; it's for Metroid Nebulus only.

GlassPirate - September 17, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Muffins: They are good to eat, and restore one energy tank. Everybody likes muffins! ^_^

SM-X - September 17, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
Better be a Phazon muffin. <____<;

MR.Phazon - December 10, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
i call it the death beam it's a standard bema that shoots from her cannon and when it hits an opponenet it can burn them to the bone(not fire burn but eats away)and a grapple beam like whip but purple and it sucks enrgy out of the monster and wait thats not all if you call now you get a free phazon sample call 957866phazon oh'oops wrong thing umm hehe.and i got 2 more 1.it is a teleportation device its likea gernade that comes out of her cannon(limited range) and where ever it lands you go there (if it lands in lava or something bad o well thats a draw back)2.umm i forgot sorry i will postr when i remeber

miles07 - December 13, 2007 05:35 AM (GMT)
@ Mr. P:
1. The Death Beam sounds a lot like the Murder Beam... Maybe a little bit of research before you stake a claim will help...
2. Grapple Voltage. 'Nuff said here.
3. Sounds like a good idea, but it'd be easy to use it for sequence breaking and glitch-finding. If you do put this idea into the game, try putting it on an ammo system, just to avoid players getting carried away.
4. I don't know. I'll post when you have an object here... [/sarcasm]
