Title: Dark Samus Talks!

maridia waterpark - April 23, 2007 02:33 PM (GMT)
During the elevator fight, if you get close and hit her with a charged light beam shot, she mumbles! I thought I heard her say something like "Damn You" but then it could be my imagination.

gammametroid - April 23, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
Cool gotta try it out is it in the sancutary place?

Axion - April 23, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that is the fight that I heard a whole lot of weird stuff from DS .. like you said it could be our imaginations but you can tell she is really pissed off. I am gonna go play this part and see if I can't hear anything specific.

Zeta Blade - April 23, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
I'll try it out...If I can find my game disc.

maridia waterpark - April 23, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it's in the sanctuary. I always start that fight with the Darkburst. It does some decent damage in the beginning.
But if you hit her with the charged light beam she sounds pissed. I wonder if Jennifer Hale did her voice too.

EDIT:I just found the master glitch. Killing the third form of the Emporor Ing in one hit.

IF you have an open shot for his mouth, screw attack into it. It will kill him instantly if you do it right.

gammametroid - April 24, 2007 01:31 PM (GMT)
hahaha cool i had some trouble with emperor ing in hard mode so maybe il try it out

Hyper_Shock12 - April 28, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
One hit kill??? SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zeta Blade - April 28, 2007 10:00 AM (GMT)
Don't post excessively long posts like that please?

Gearmaster - April 28, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
Its called spam.
And I tried out that thing.
DS does not say damn you, she does mumble though or make a pissed of sound.

miles07 - April 30, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
It's a hiss, nothing more, amplified and modified by the Phazon corruption.

Zeta Blade - May 1, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
At least it's a sound.

miles07 - May 1, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
<_< ... Uhh, that's kinda obviously true...

Gearmaster - May 2, 2007 03:29 AM (GMT)
Do YOU make sounds Zeta Blade? Or do you jsut make annoyingly stupid irrelevant points about stuff?

miles07 - May 3, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Um, anyway... How else does she/it sound?

maridia waterpark - May 4, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
Like your typical evil female. How else would she sound? Nice?

Kraid 2 cool - May 4, 2007 03:40 PM (GMT)
How did you find out about the Emperor Ing glitch? Most try that sometime.

miles07 - May 4, 2007 07:40 PM (GMT)
The problem for that glitch is that you have to time it all off. If you miss it by one pixel or one microsecond, you drop and get pwned. Doesn't that just suck?

Axion - May 5, 2007 12:22 AM (GMT)
Does that glitch actually work? I tried it several times and it just helped it kill me faster. By several, I mean .. like fifty. So, either I am doing something wrong, or ... what?

And I checked the sound again. It is just a hiss. No words, more of a mumble like an 'ouch' (not literally) or some kind of painful low growl or something.

I doubt DS will ever actually speak, just laugh, hiss, and mumble.

Gearmaster - May 5, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
It laughed maniacly.

maridia waterpark - May 5, 2007 04:51 AM (GMT)
I heard speach, but maybe I'm just crazy.

As for the Emperor Ing, you can't hit him dead on. Hit him when you can freely damage him with the power beam. The best place I've found to hit him is between his front and left (like you're standing on his back looking forward) legs. I've done this several times. It also does hefty damage to DS's final form when she's vulnerable.

GlassPirate - May 5, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
True. I beat DS the old fashion way first, then second I screw attacked her like MW said, and third time I played through I used my "Always Phazon Beam" AR code. B) As for DS talking, I do remember a mumbling or grumbling (and for some reason a scream comes to mind, although I doubt it) and a pissed countenance on her... (How do I know? I...don't know... but I can just tell...) She doesn't enjoy light very much... she would hate the Saharan Desert...

QUOTE (maridia waterpark @ May 4 2007, 10:51 PM)
The best place I've found to hit him is between his front and left (like you're standing on his back looking forward) legs.

So what you're saying is that you shall aim somewhere between the RIGHT and FRONT legs(standing in front of him...It)?

maridia waterpark - May 5, 2007 03:41 PM (GMT)
Is there any other easy to hit place? Just make sure you can freely damage him with the power beam first. That's what makes it count.

miles07 - May 11, 2007 09:30 PM (GMT)
The great thing about cheats and shortcuts is that once you know a good one, you'll never do things the old-fashioned way again...

BTW, GlassPirate, what "Always Phazon Beam" code?

GlassPirate - May 12, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
I got it off www.arcentral.com. (I think that is the correct link) It allows you to fire off a shot of phazon anytime you want. The bad is that it doesn't have sound effects... (firing/impact) so I generally avoid using it unless I'm bored and/or mad/frustrated at boss. (And it's usually never necessary)

maridia waterpark - May 12, 2007 03:51 AM (GMT)
It also slows the game if you're near the impact. But on the light side, if you fire it with the annihilator, it tracks.

GlassPirate - May 12, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Yah. Forgot to mention that stuff. It is possible to spam your game speed with it, like MW said, so be careful. (I use it whenever I have to get rid of Metroids. :))

maridia waterpark - May 16, 2007 06:19 AM (GMT)
It's funny without the sounds because they just go splat and that's all. SPLAT!

StrafeHunter - May 31, 2008 01:27 PM (GMT)
If you fight dark samus with the music off on any battle it does make weird noises, and laughs at you in its awesome evil way, but i have never heard it talk.

And trust me, the first time i played Prime 2 it always killed me.
