Title: Loads of Old Games
Description: All made by me in years past.

DeProgrammer - January 21, 2008 08:17 PM (GMT)
(I love copy and paste.)

I was looking through my folders of code yesterday, and I decided to collect all my Metroid-related games. So, in a 1.37 MB ZIP, here are 12 meh-quality Metroid games (one of which is a collection of 7 mini-games) and one fair-quality game (Rocket Soldier: Samus) that I still show off and play once in a while. Enjoy!

Oh, uh, if you have any questions, I guess you can ask 'em. Comments are okay, too, but I don't plan on updating any of these games, although I may remake them entirely some day.

Small descriptions of each game is available at the link below.

This is really awesome, I recommend everybody download. Although one of them haunts me to this very day. :P

Amazing...
Great, now I'm going to be up all night playing em.

hmm...You seem to have a thing for programming games DeProgrammer. After your done with MP2D (<__<;) I might have a job offer for you...

Rewrite - January 23, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
He doesn't program for MP2D. Just did a few sprites, I believe. And he's working on a long-term project: Metroid Genesis! :D I can't wait 'till Genesis is done.

DeProgrammer - January 23, 2008 06:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah, and I'm not much into the whole one-project-at-a-time idea. Lately, I've been working on Metroid Genesis, a 2D OpenGL template, Project Metroid (you'll hear about it shortly ;) ), random music, and probably lots of little things I'm forgetting. If you have a job request for me, let it be known, and there's a chance I'll work on it along with everything else. But if it has to do with a 2D platformer physics engine, count me out. Those things are Hades in a bottle. :P

I will never understand GML.
Thinking out loud...Whoops. You seriously have a knack for 2d games! Can't wait to see mp2d 3.0 and Genesis!

DeProgrammer - January 23, 2008 11:48 PM (GMT)
GML? Why do you mention that? I'm programming in Visual Basic 6.0.

Heh, MP2D 3.0...nice. Also, a little teaser for something I'm working on:

Yes...that's a bunny.

A bunny shooting Core-X? Sounds like last Christmas...(Don't ask.)

You added more games to pjm? :D Nice!

Axion - January 24, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
For some reason I get major lag with all of your games. Like, 5 fps type of lag.

DeProgrammer - January 24, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
I used the Timer control and native graphics stuff, so the old games go really slow. I think they are mostly around 10 FPS, though.
