Title: Archived projects

Gendreavus - March 20, 2008 03:56 AM (GMT)
Hey all. Some of you folk may have noticed that some of the fan-game sub-forums have disappeared. It has been suggested that the board could use a little "Spring cleaning", so to say, and in that vein I have archived any fan-game projects that haven't had any progress in a while (which just happened to be both of the ones with sub-forums).

There are a couple of things to note:
1. This is NOT a punishment. It's merely a way of keeping MHQ nice and shiny looking.
2. This is NOT a death sentence for the fan-games. If the developer of an archived fan-game returns and wishes to update their game we would be more than happy to unarchive it for them to work on.
3. You CAN still access the sub-forums. Links to them are at the bottom of this post. They are locked, so you are not able to post in them, but you may still read the threads, download any demos, etc.

That said, here are the links to the currently archived fan-games:

Metroid Evolution
Metroid X (working title)

Well then, what must one do in order to unlock such topics? I'm going to bet it's provide with some substantial amount of progress done on the project.

It just pains me to see so many good ideas falter and fall down simply because 24 hours per day is too little time.

If somebody wants their game unarchived, all they need to do is ask. Like I said, I'm not punishing anyone for anything, just sort of moving some of the 'hibernating' projects out of the limelight so that it seems like, you know, we're alive. Because we are.
