I was looking at some of the posts here and I saw that there have been no new posts (exept mine) since last year! :huh:
In my opinion this is a great idea. It allows people to create stories and events around their own and other peoples invented characters. I, and maybe some other people would like to see this place running again.

Example: A large spaceport (with extreme detail)

edit: oh and it will have nothing to do with metroid, so we can actually have CREATIVITY.
You will not be able to use a character with
. a "power suit"
. an "Arm cannon"
. Any kind of orbicular form.
. No matter what you may want, no Space pirates
. Try to avoid using Metorid weapons in general, if you really must try to not be obvious as metroid weapons tend to be in the "LOLONESHOTYOU" caliber.
. You do not have the ability to pull large items from small places.

Think about that as you make a character to play with.

Wheras when i get around to making mine, it will be in the metroid universe, but any characters are welcome, plus it could have enemies from other games.

Most of the RP forums I have been to have no more posts in it simply because people lose interest. Being a Metroid Forum it only makes sense that all the RPs are in the Metroid realm.

Aye, but doesn;t mean that 99% of them have to be metroid, its to narrow of a field to really expand on and your rather limited in actions due to only being able to use Metroid-esque items and plots.

But a non-Metroid RP that is on a Metroid forum doesn't make any sense. Thats almost like finding a Legend of Zelda Fanfic in a MGS forum. While it may be annoying that ALL of them are Metroid, they all are in the correct place.

Perhaps you could make a 'Non-Metroid RP' topic, and go from there.

I'd like to make an everyday life "MHQ House" type of RP.

Not exactly like a "One House, 7 members" kind of thing but more like "Everyday Life, and 10 members" kind of thing.

In fact, I almost did make an RP staring MHQ members set in the Half Life universe, but I had almost zero internest, so I abandoned it. =/

I mean, come on. We could quibble over types of cheese to buy in the SUPERMARKET! ^_^

An MHQ everyday life......That would be interesting to just walk across the street to find another member.

But one question, if you start this, could some dark power NOT appear until a long time. Because otherwise it's like, SIMS 2; ECHOES!!!!

We already have Dark powers as some of the members.

Regarding your words Hyashi, non metroid RP in Metroid website, I could make the same argument for the "general" forum, its not metroid related, makes sense, and yet is in the correct place, still doesn't mean they should all be the same topic.

No no, it couldn't be that at all. And we all know only 'banned' members RP'ed, even though they were banned over a year ago and there've been topics since then. :rolleyes:

No, you want to know why the RP forum is inactive? It's inactive because a lot of the serious RP'ers actually want an RP that follows a story, that isn't just mindless battling. They want people to actually follow the RP rules which you can find conveniently posted here.

And I can personally say I grew sick of the constant godmodding that was going on here and the lack of any serious RP's. Next time, before you make such a broad and blunt statement, do a little research. I can guarantee you that more than just those 'banned members' RP'ed.

I don't RP outside of MSN anymore (and only with people I trust) because you can't find a serious RP 10 miles out of town.

You may have something good going, but then someone has to magically apparate a giant beam lazar thing and blow everything to hell. It never goes anywhere, and even if it does, generally the people who do that don't have anything good to add to the story anyway, and thus the RP dies due to lack of interest and idiotic participants.

I remember rocks... i met him at a Counter-Strike server... i havnt talked to him since he was banned... btw i been talking to eyotose... hes the one who really changed... kinda scary kid now...
