Metroid: SR388 looks awesome.

I just looked around and found no topics regarding this amazing upcoming fan game.

First of all, their trailer is amazing, and you can tell that they are putting a lot of work into the game. This, in my opinion, seems to be the most promising Metroid fan game yet.

Discuss.

Hope they don't send out the "Cease and Desist" letter on this one... That would be WAY too sad... :(

Yeah, ya'll should join the forums too.

For possible input and the gleaning of information as its released? Of course, it's a good idea!

EDIT: Oh no! It's on vacation! And that means there's no new information! :(

This is one of the best fangames, judging from the trailer. Sick as. Especially the shoulder moving feature. lol.

StrafeHunter - January 6, 2009 05:49 PM (GMT)
Agreed, I watched the trailer again and again and again and again...

DarkSamus - January 6, 2009 10:46 PM (GMT)
It doesn't even look like it was made in gamemaker lol.

This guy must be coding genius.

Miles07 - January 6, 2009 11:15 PM (GMT)
He's not alone in the team, ya know...

DarkSamus - January 6, 2009 11:22 PM (GMT)
Really? I thought he started it himself.

Well i have been gone a few years :P

Last time i saw, he only had bad quality vids of the engine. It didn't have a name either.

Miles07 - January 7, 2009 02:03 AM (GMT)
Then yes, you've been gone a LONG time.

DarkSamus - January 7, 2009 11:34 PM (GMT)
Mmm. Its good to see he/the team didn't give up though. This might actually be Nintendo quality if the story's good and they finish it lol.

Miles07 - January 8, 2009 03:56 AM (GMT)
And they don't get a cease-and-desist letter. THAT would be a bummer.

DarkSamus - January 8, 2009 09:35 PM (GMT)
Well, they're not trying to sell it or anything :/

Miles07 - January 10, 2009 06:44 AM (GMT)
For now...

I think Von Ritcher(?) has a programming job and most likely took college classes on it, so he's not new to programming or game design.

Miles07 - January 11, 2009 07:25 AM (GMT)
Now, that I don't doubt, Dragon, but the unfortunate bit of news is that we've not heard about ANYTHING from VR from quite a while... His site is down in "maintenance mode", so I'm not sure when he'll have something new for us... like a demo...

UPDATE =/= DOUBLE POST

M:SR388 is under a new project leader. VR (apparently, no-one's allowed to say his name anymore) left, and now we have a new Project Leader Guy is the new project leader guy. (His name, BTW, is Project Leader Guy).

Does this mean a new direction for the game/project? Please help out.
