TRIVIA: Did you ever notice how the Chykka battle themes are similar-sounding to the Gandrayda battle theme in Corruption? :o

Listen to one and the other. Both have basically the same beat (albeit different tempos slightly), and both move identically at the right times.
If anyone else hears this, please help me explain clearer.

I like both Torvus Bog themes as well.

I find with MP2 there were too few "themes" and way too much ambient stuff.

Agree. And the "themes" weren't necessarily too catchy, except for the ones that ended up being BGMs in the Multiplayer mode...

Meh, I liked the menu/credits music and emperor ing musics.

Oh yeah, and I forgot HUNTERS. That was a nice music piece...

Hunters WAS cool, but it got boring after a while...

For the longest time, i hadnt realized i unlocked new music until i beat the game.

I only had one controller so I had all of the stuff but I never actually realised it until I got another.

i was certain i needed a cheat code to unlock stuff.....

You just needed to beat story mode, which I had several times, the first I heard of the unlockable music was looking on the internet.

Hehe... I look at clues and cheat codes before I buy games. That way, I can basically hit the ground running in the game.

ugh, i cant remember what the name of the area where you battle amorbis was called, i liked the there for some reason, it was kinda dark and looming....

and the zombie GF battle music was good, too.

YES! Agon! i couldnt remember it for my life! the music was very foreboding.

Music?

1. the "desert" theme. Ambiance. Not much other than the sandy winds, a heartbeat, and the "Chozo Item room" theme.
2. Pirate Fear. Meh. Definitely toned-down compared to what it could have been like (see MZM's Pirate Ship musics).
3. Dark Agon: Spookiness. I just don't get what's the deal with the snare drum in the background.

YES, Torvus (and 'Hunters') are the two "epic" songs of the whole game. No wonder Stemage did Torvus for the first MP2E-Metal song.

I would have prefered emperor ing... the first one especially, its kinda creepy and boss like at the same time... that failed didn't it? <_<

Actually, I think that was one of the better boss musics in the game...

The space pirate music was awsome. So many boss music it's hard to pic.

Thankfully, SS, this isn't a poll, so you can list as many as you want... that reasonably fit the title of your "favorite song(s)" from this game.

Torvus Bog had a nice ambient sound to it, I liked that.

I wonder what it would sound like NES-ed.

have you heard the metal version of it? its AMAZING!!!

You mean the Super "Metroid Metal" remixes? There's two songs that that may apply to:
1. the Brinstar remix (which mixes both the Green Brinstar and the Red Brinstar themes)
2. the Maridia remix (which includes Red Brinstar, Maridia Ruins, and Maridia Swamp themes)

I personally like the Brinstar theme more than the Maridia theme. The Maridia remix sounds like they're just doing that music to just check it off the list. It isn't even BGM-worthy, IMO.

I listen to Torvus Bog(Long) at least 1 time per day.
Makes me relax. They really did a nice job. It reflexes the atmosphere of that area so well.
