I started playing Metroid Fusion this week.I gotta say It's a challenge.I don't know If It Is the graphics or something else.I'm close to Ridley right now & I'm sure I skipped things.I'm gonna have to backtrack later.I think Super Metroid Is way more easy,but I played It more :)

Think after I beat It I'm gonna play Metroid II The Return of Samus.


Just wanna know your thoughts on this?What's your hardest Metroid Game to beat?Besides Metroid for the NES.I know that It's hard lol

Hardest apart from the original? I would have to say super, I have never got past ridley first time.

But im gonna have to say Super Metroid too. Its by far the best game in the 2d seris, but i have trouble finding out where to go, or until i beat it, then i knew ever single place.

I have, but never without dying.

I cant beat ridley first time either, but i can beat mother brain first try. I dont get it.

Just beat Metroid Fusion.

The ending of It was fairly easy.Just some of the puzzles In It proves a challenge.Think the graphics has something to do with my damper on the gameplay also.

Super Metroid to me Is Super easy,but I've played that since I was 11 lol.I'm almost 26 now :)

The 2d metroid puzzles dont show much of a challenge to me, its the Prime series that is hard when it come to puzzles. Or at least Prime 1 & 2.

The Prime Series I'm still having problems running on emulators.I played It on the gamecube Itself,but wasn't my main focus at the time.Kinda sad also thats about all I need to beat now.Working on Metroid II The Return of Samus.Besides that I want a MMORPG :) or a new Gameboy Game.

Ive beaten every single metroid game except for return of samus. I have a hard time finding it it stores, and i have windows vista, so i cant download roms.

Dude, you know you're supposed to lose that battle, right? Like, as in the Space Colony Ceres battle? THAT "first time"?

Otherwise, if you meant the Lower Norfair battle, I feel your pain, dude.



I'd have to give a four-way tie:
Super Metroid: for the 2nd Ridley battle... I... HATE... IT...
Metroid Prime: longest of the three Prime games, IMO
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: *shudders...* I don't even wanna go there...
Metroid Prime Pinball: for obvious reasons...

I have actually won the very first battle with Ridley. And yes, I meant lower norfair Ridley. I haven't played M2 or Pinball.

You can win it. It makes little difference in the long run since Ridley still escapes and you still need to get out of the space station before the timer runs out.

I think the hardest part in fusion is the ax power where you have you fight the spider and run from sa-x and the plant boss almost all at once.

Naw, the hardest part is running from the Sa-X that time and fighting the nightmare.
(It ussually takes me 3 tries before i can beat nightmare.)

I'll have to agree with SS. The Spider boss was THE toughest boss in that game for me, even to this day! STILL ANNOYING. Especially since it's at the same time as the power outage, so the best place to save / recharge is at your ship.
Never mind how, before the Plant boss, you can go up that tall room and find a secret entrance for a Recharge room. Those KiHunters can be a real pain with only the Wide Beam...

Now that I think of does anybody remember my tip on the spider boss? The thing that I found handy with the ki-hunters is when I'm in those root rooms with them traped is I'll lay a power bomb and bye bye buggy you just want to have plenty of them.

How much easier that Spider battle would be if they had put in the Wall-Jump physics just like in Superoid... OR MZM, for that matter. You know, being able to infinitely wall-jump using only one wall?

You can wall jump using two walls but requires good timing and practice.

my tip was to use morph ball in the corners (Ithink the left corner) and the spider can't grab you.

That works, its what I do...

I'm thinking about buying Fusion.
Is it better than Zero Mission?

I use the corner method to not let him grab me, then when he conspicuously comes to use that fire attack on the side I am on I go right under him, but a little to the left or right, then his fire attack might miss you (70% chance it will hit you) but during that time frame; attack!
@specte; you'll have to play it and see what you think. it's a lot more linear I'll tell you that.

like metroid fusion? or moon? if your saying fusion, that was my favorite metroid game, never played moon.

The hardest would possibly have to be metroid prime 2, tediously though. Metroid 1 is the hardest one while maintaining it's fun factor.

Yeah, I meant moon. Supposed to be the "MPH Killer"...but it was slow and boring. I forced myself to finish it just to see if there were some other unlockables..

Next challenger is C.O.R.E...

Core is going to be more like Quake or Unreal Tournament, exploration will be more linear...

I say get both Fusion and MZM.

I beat the game without dying and with only 2 (or 3, i think) saves. (When you have to go to the ship.) I think that fastest I beat it was 2:03 and 81%. :)

Shadow, i agree, Prime 2 is tedious when it comes to finding the keys over and over.. >_>

YES finally someone who agrees! Prime 2 should have been more like Prime 1. However while key finding was annoying, it was the transition between the worlds that you CANNOT skip, that got tiresome to an extent.

Both are amazing but Fusion is the better of the two, mainly because it has a better difficulty(too me, its still too easy though), better story, and it was longer.

to most, it was actually pretty short. I can beat it in exactly an hour, 26%. I can still beat it at 1:42, 1%. so it is a pretty short game. zero mission is a bit longer, my fastest was just 4 minuets above an hour =P but I am not very fast at MZM.

I ended up getting MZM :P Fusion is GONE. Can't find it anywhere.

well, just be patient... where didja go? I prefer looking at game stop for my games. and yes, metroid ZM and fusion both cost 9 dollars.

my first fusion broke... and I lost MZM. I re bought fusion which I lost but found and MZM which broke for a couple of days... so uhh... really random occurrence. ALTTP/ four swords was okay I guess... I still have not gotten whirlwind attack even though I know how to get it =P

hmm... well, you cannot get them new easily now a days... they are considered "old" unfortunately...

Ebay, Gamestop=unreliable when it comes to old games like that(I cannot even find Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow in ANY gamestop, the game was only out for like 3 years o.o)

there's at least 3 down where I live... I remember seeing them used and stuff. ebay is the most reliable, but gamestop is the fastest way to get stuffs =P

You know what else you can't find in any shops? GCN games ><
