Title: Core of Infinity
Description: RP of Metroid Infinity

StrafeHunter - April 16, 2009 04:03 PM (GMT)
Ok, this is an RP version of the Metroid: Infinity storyline. It is a direct sequel to Sylux's RP You can be one of three classes, a GF employee sent to aid Strafe, a hunter there for his/her own purpose or a space pirate employee.

------------------------

Approaching planet Semikron
Strafe pressed a button and prepared himself...

Lactor - April 16, 2009 10:22 PM (GMT)
As in the rp that just finished (The one titled "my run at a good rp")? I guess I'll join in for this one. I'll be using Lactor, as usual. He'll be working as an independent agent, pursuing his own goals and up for employment if anyone's interested.

Sylux125 - April 17, 2009 05:10 AM (GMT)
Sylux again. I told you we'd cross paths. Lactor... you have a Gemerix crystal that is worth untold riches. Strafe, you have that anti matter shield, which will protect you from Anti-Strafe

Sylux flew towards the first moon of Semikron. Apparently someone was there who was willing to pay quite a lot of money to eliminate a key pirate General in Semikron. he was flying there for more info on the target. He also needed to purchase a sniper rifle

kenji imatake - April 17, 2009 06:04 AM (GMT)
Kenji imatake... same one in dark samus's. hunter for own purpose... by accident.
kenji was overlooking a small planet. he looked on his monitor "Semikron..." he had just woken up, he must of fallen asleep on the wheel. he did not know where he was, or how he got there, so he decided to stop to ask for directions. all of his communication means had not been working properly, so he found it safe to land upon the planet, find natives who were not hostile, and ask for directions. He sped towards the planet after equipping his equipment, gear and weapons.

StrafeHunter - April 17, 2009 12:33 PM (GMT)
"Computer, loaad intel on this planet."
The planet Semikron is unique in the fact it shares an orbit with planet Serifisia. It is the second planet in the Seltatian system. The surface is completely uninhabitable due to radioactive winds but below the surface there is a thriving ecosystem.
"Ok, land in that chasm."

Lactor - April 17, 2009 09:56 PM (GMT)
Lactor came out of warpspeed into the system. He was on the hunt to uncover the secrets of his energy crystal, the reason for its strange attributes. He looked up at the display, and caught sight of the Gemerix crystal, a payment from Sylux for helping him that time... Lactor felt a twinge of regret as to hiding his true purpose from his allies at the time, but all guilt was washed away as he remebered what all that money had netted him. His ship was now one of the fastest in the universe, with more power than a cruiser. His armor and weapons had also undergone an upgrade. he looked forward to using them in battle. He hadn't yet cashed in the Gemerix crystal, but would in time. He looked over at the planet under him. "Semikron, huh?" he said. "Looks foreboding, but this is where the trail leads..." he sped toward the planet. he looked at the Intel.
Radioactive, but a thriving ecosystem beneath the surface. Lactor nticed a chasm, and there seemed to be ruins of an unknown origin inside the chasm. Lactor's pulse quickened. I'm getting close, he thought. He landed in the chasm.

Sylux125 - April 20, 2009 02:14 AM (GMT)
Sylux returned from the store with a shiny new sniper rifle, and a lot of information. he boarded his ship and headed towards Semikron. He smiled. He remembered just how many criminals were on this planet... and how many owed him a lot of money

Lactor - April 20, 2009 10:48 PM (GMT)
Lactor noticed the numerous signals from his suit. It seemed he wasn't the only one with interest on this planet... And a few of them looked familiar. "This is getting interesting..." he said. He activated his suit's protective shield and worked his way toward the ruins. Suddenly, the energy crystal gave off a glow. it slowly pulsated, almost to the beat of a heart. "Incredible.." Lactor whispered. He was getting close... He continued on toward the ruins.

kenji imatake - April 20, 2009 11:43 PM (GMT)
kenji was flying around the planet. it looked like blistering winds and a scorched barren wasteland. he checked his radar, which of course was not working so he popped up his monitor, and apparently straight ahead there was a large chasm with some ruins... and a ship. his hopes grew and he thought "hmm... well that would have sucked if the planet was empty... in which it is, but a ship?" he approached and landed next to the ship in the chasm. He got out, calmly approached the ship and yelled "Hey! is there anyone in there!? I need directions!" a minuet passed and there was no answer. kenji's shoulders sagged and when he was about to get back in his ship, he found footprints. he got his weapons ready in case the being meant hostile intent and followed them on his little hover backpack called the vesper it was the only one of it's kind in the galaxy because 1. it is a backpack that is hollow that turns into a 1 to 2 seater hover bike that moved relatively fast. 2. it can attach to a gun attached to kenji's arm, producing 2 dual blades once done. and 3.it is pretty quiet, and it does not run on any source of fuel. kenji followed the tracks at a moderate pace.

Sylux125 - April 20, 2009 11:51 PM (GMT)
Sylux walked out of a bar with a wad of cash in his hand and his opponents head in his hand. he forgot how good it was to be among his fellow criminals

Lactor - April 20, 2009 11:51 PM (GMT)
OOC: no source of fuel? I think you're violating a law of physics there...

Lactor noticed a blip on his radar. Someone was tracking him it seemed. He ducked down beneath a wall of the ruins, and waited with his gun and knife at the ready.

kenji imatake - April 21, 2009 03:28 AM (GMT)
OOC: exactly =D instead, it runs on... well, I dunno. whatever it absorbs in whatever environment I guess...

kenji saw the tracks disappear abruptly so he stopped real quick, then pushed the vesper in that direction. he was making sure there were no traps or anything. if it was attacked, it would not suffer much damage. it is a nearly indestructible artifact after all... it may suffer a dent or 2, but it can be fixed if done correctly. though it does slow him down when he wears it, that is the only other flaw. He was well aware if this person had a radar of sorts, there would be 2 dots (if they are alive). he was hoping to perhaps to get a response from pushing the vesper out there once when it hits a solid it will be rendered useless until kenji bids it to work.

----Mission Profile----

To: Hunter General Strafe ID: SH1032
From: Federation Command
Strafe, your mission is to destroy the space pirate operations on planet Semikron. We have some more intel for you. The pirates seem to have drilled a shaft directly to the planet's core. We have alredy sent you surface data, but a few kilometers below the surface there are several more cavent systems, I reccomend you head from the surface through the first barren caves to the jungle cave then infiltrate the first pirate checkpoint. WE have some creature data.

Radaleech: A tough armoured creature that lives in the surface caverns. They are mostly harmless, but some can grow to an immense size...

Splice Crab: They are completely harmless unless you run into them.

Spinevine: Not much is known, they are unique to this planet.

We will update you when we can.

----END----

Lactor - April 21, 2009 11:22 PM (GMT)
Lactor noticed the blip stop, and then an object slowly drifted toward his position. He's trying to determine my postion using it, Lactor thought. That wouldn't work on me. He made sure the jets were ready on his suit, then blasted out in a line intersecting both signals. he knocked the first object out of the way, then rocketed toward the hunter behind it. In a few seconds, he had sweeped him to the ground and had his knife to his throat and a blaster to his head. "Start talking." Lactor said.

kenji imatake - April 21, 2009 11:36 PM (GMT)
kenji was relaxed, knowing there was someone "ah, you are the one who made the footprints correct? hmm... might want to put the knife down, I have no intention of harming you, and it would be useless to use against me anyways. I am hunter Kenji Imatake. you see... I fell asleep on the wheel and noticed I was somewhere I hardly recognized. this was the closest place so I descended to ask any inhabitants, if any, for directions. all of my means of communications are completely offline, so I had to use the basics. I discovered a ship in here... yours I presume? found footprints, followed, then they disappeared so I made sure there was no trap by pushing my backpack in that direction... then it all leads up to this. so uhh... could you help with directions?" kenji knew this must had sounded awkward, asking someone who attacked him for directions... in the middle of an uninhabited planet... but it was the truth.

Lactor - April 21, 2009 11:46 PM (GMT)
Lactor relaxed. This kenji didn't look too threatening, and had a disarming frankness about him. "This is Semikron." Lactor said. "I would recommend getting out of here as soon as possible. It's very dangerous unless you're strong, determined, or an idiot." He helped kenji up, and handed him a set of coordinates. "This will lead you to the closest GF outpost near this system."
Lactor carefully watched kenji walk away. as harmless as he looked atg first, Lactor felt that there was more than met the eye. Once he could no longer see kenji, Lactor turned and entered the main body of the ruins.

kenji imatake - April 22, 2009 12:13 AM (GMT)
he thanked this Lactor fellow and reattached the vesper to his back and was on his way. as Kenji walked away he tilted his head. the area was very unfamiliar, he did not recognize any of the names or places. the galaxy name was even unfamiliar, he decided it would just be smarter just to go to the GF outpost, they knew him and would gladly point the way. he left the atmosphere and was headed over there right away. when kenji arrived, he got a message "unidentified vessel approaching, please enter your coordinates, fighters are standing by." as kenji entered the code he had an unsettling feeling that something was amiss "identification verified as bounty hunter kenji imatake....... seize him." then a bunch of ships started surrounding kenji, he did not understand what was happening. He made his ship move backwards towards 2 GF fighters, they moved out of the way so there wouldn't be a collision, then the ships started chasing and shooting. he had to get away, he had to fly to the only familiar place he knew as of now, Semikron. Once he was within Semikron, the fighters gave up, their ships were probably not strong enough to withstand the winds. he re-landed back in the same hole, then started running after lactor... after all, there was nothing he could really do with his allies against him, tossed in an unfamiliar world. kenji figured it would be easier just to find this guy and asked some information... he had no clue how long he had been asleep before, but it must have been long.

StrafeHunter - April 23, 2009 05:54 PM (GMT)
Strafe was thinking of his past for the first time in many years. Being back in his home system was causing him to remember things he had long forgotton. He knew that a few lightyears away was Seifisia...

His thinking was suddenly inturrupted as his ships engines failed and his suit light dimmed. He quickly switched his engines to normal fuel instead of tachyon energy, but something was wrong with his suit, sections of it were disintigrating before his eyes! Strafe quickly realised that the air here contained an abnormal ammount of antimatter and switched on his antimatter shield, but it was too late for some of his suit's features, everything was offline except his weak shielding and his power beam. He set his ship down at the bottom of the chasm. There were two doors to the sides, Strafe's intel told him that this was a disused pirate storage area, perfect, he might just find some better weapons...

OOC: Down to his suit's bare minimum Strafe is very similar to Samus, in this RP you will find out why...

Sylux125 - April 24, 2009 02:57 AM (GMT)
Sylux was slowly approaching the ruins. It seemed there was a major Pirate outpost there. Oh well. It was a good place to start. he slowly climbed into the trees. Time for a bit of sniping practice. Sylux smiled. he would like this.

Lactor - April 24, 2009 10:52 PM (GMT)
Lactor noticed two more blips on his radar. One seemed to be following him, and the other was on the outskirts of the ruins. He quickly ducked inside a building that seemed ready to fall apart. No need to take risks. Lactor turned around, and noticed an elevator. It was still functioning. He decided this was worth a look. He took the elevator down.

Lactor ended up somewhere deep underground. It seemed that the air here wasn't irradiated, but he still kept the shields on. He slowly walked down a long passageway and found himself in a large room. There was a large painting on the wall. It seemed to be almost 5 stories tall. It looked like people living....then an attack on the people... bodies everywhere, certain despair... kneeling down and praying... poring over books... a look of triumph on one person... and then that same person holding something. Whatever it was that the person on the painting was holding, there was nothing but an indentation. The crystal gave off another large glow. Lactor noticed that the indentation was the correct size and shape for the crystal. Knowing that he could be tampering with something very important here, he slotted the crystal in. It fit perfectly.

Immediately, the crystal gave off a large glow, and energy whips came out from it, grabbing his weapons. It did something, and a large spark was given off. Both knives and the blaster were then dropped to the ground. Lactor came forward and picked up the weapons. They seemed to have small slots in them now. Then, the floor began to rise quickly. Lactor held on, and then found himslef high above the planets surface. The entire painting exploded, leaving behind some sort of small spire with the crystal at its base. The spire shot a large beam into the air, and the beam seemed to curve, and hit him. Lactor felt nothing from it, but the suit obviously had changed. Then the crystal fell out, and the beam stopped. He went forward and picked it up. He then noticed that the suit had some sort of indentation on his right arm, almost perfect for the crystal. He slotted it in, and his suit shuddered. Then he noticed crystal shards on the ground. Lactor looked at them, realizing they fit into the new openings on his weapons. He slotted them in too. All of his weapons gave a bright flash, then returned to normal. What had just happened? But first, he had to get down off of the platform he was standing on...

OOC: Lactor has basically just powered up his suit and weapons by making them completely compatible with his crystal. This allows him to fight at full power at all times, but has some drawbacks (wouldn't be any fun otherwise). For example, he can't quite control it as well, as he is unaware of the power boost. It's also much more unstable. Basically, he's high-risk, high-power.

StrafeHunter - April 25, 2009 07:58 PM (GMT)
Strafe ran through the corridors, shooting the occasional Radaleech. Stragely, earlier he had found a morphing module that exactly matched his, well at least his Shock Sphere was back online. He shot another Radaleech and looked at his radar, it showed a concentration of energy in the room ahead...

Sylux125 - April 25, 2009 11:44 PM (GMT)
OOC- I sense a Strafe vs Lactor battle coming up
Sylux aligned the crosshair and pulled the trigger once, twice, three times. In less than a second, 3 pirates were dead. He then rapidly sniped 5 more, and turned on his electron blade. He then jumped off the tree, and started sprinting to the pirate outpost. That was when he spotted an unidentified ship flying up above. (Kenji's ship) He decided not to take chances, and fired an EMP blast at the ship, disabling it temporarily. He then started firing electron missles at the ship, while lobbing grenades into the pirate outpost. With any luck.... the ship would crash into the outpost. Sylux smiled. Perfect.

StrafeHunter - April 26, 2009 08:56 AM (GMT)
Strafe blasted the hatch off the room, and stepped in, it seemed to be the lair of an animal. Then suddenly an enormous Radaleech dropped from the ceiling, its eye glowed yellow and lightning shocked around its fangs. It jumped at Strafe but he managed to activate Shock Sphere and roll out of the way, he blasted the Radaleech but his weapon had no effect. It then jumped again, quickly he shot its mouth and it roared in pain, he dodged again. It jumped, but this time straight up and launched an electric charge from it mouth, Strafe was too close to dodge it and he was stunned, luckily he recovered as it jumped again and he shot its mouth, it roared again, but this time it landed on Strafe as he tried to roll away, it grabbed him in its fangs and electrocuted him, Strafe tried to deactivate Shock Ball but it wouldn't, then he realised that the electricity was't hurting him. The creature collapsed down, completely drained, Strafe scanned his suit, it came up with another ability recovered, good he though, I have Static Blast back.

Lactor - April 26, 2009 05:42 PM (GMT)
Lactor noticed a ship fly out of control overhead as he was working his way out of the ruins. It seemed to be heading toward a nearby pirate outpost. Interesting. Might be worth checking out. Lactor ran in the general direction of the outpost, eager to try out his weapons' new power.

Sylux125 - April 26, 2009 06:25 PM (GMT)
Sylux was having fun. The ship had crashed into the pirate outpost, and 20 pirates were running out like retards. Sylux took carful aim and sniped 2 of them, just to scare the rest. He then sprinted from behind a tree, and roared "I am Sylux! And I have questions to ask you" He kicked one pirate into a tree, and asked him "Where is Commander Flelque?" The Piratre growled. "I will never tell you" Sylux calmly broke his neck and started charging at another pirate. He had plenty more pirates to interrogate

Lactor - April 27, 2009 01:18 AM (GMT)
Lactor came upon the outpost and spied 3 bodies on the ground, and plenty of Pirates running around. A familiar figure seemed to be chasing them... "Well, well.." he said. "Looks like someone's stealing all the fun." Raising his newly powered blaster, he aimed, and fired a full charge. Lactor was completely unprepared for the recoil. He was thrown into the air, and landed some 10 feet away. Picking himself off the ground, Lactor noticed a large crater in the middle of the outpost. His jaw dropped. No way... and then a grin came over his face. He felt freaking INDESTRUCTIBLE! He whipped out both of his knives, and rushed in, feeling the laser bolts whizz past him harmlessly. he sliced through the pirate armor like butter, taking out 5 more in one sweep. As he readied himself to rush back in, he finally recognized the other person.

Sylux125 - April 27, 2009 11:24 PM (GMT)
Sylux paused, mid-rush. That figure that just blew a hole in the ground, could that be... Lactor? Sylux casually stepped on a pirates skull, he raised his blade. "Hello Lactor. Do you remember me? We have quite a bit to catch up on. Lets talk... while we massacre these pirates"

Lactor - April 28, 2009 03:22 AM (GMT)
Lactor looked a little closer. It was Sylux. "Long time, no see." Lactor said. He blasted the heads off a few more pirates. "How's life been going?" A pirate decided to be sneaky and creep up onto the ledge behind him, but Lactor sliced him in half as he was in the air. "I've been just great. Got my weapons upgraded and powered up, as you can see."

StrafeHunter - April 28, 2009 07:04 PM (GMT)
Strafe looked at the room he found himself in. It seemed to be a partially collapsed corridor, he climbed through the collapsed ceiling and found himself in a rock tunnel, climbing up, the rock seemed to suddenly become more regular, in fact, they looked almost... like bricks... Strafe's doubts about civilisation on this planet were erased when he entered a chamber, in the center was a statue of a Chozo holding some sort of weapon, Strafe scanned it, it seemed to be compatible with his suit, but it seemed to have a datapacket attached.
Project Tempest Componant ID 04432
There was also a diagram attached, it showed how to slot the weapon into what looked like a chozo armcannon. Strafe did the same and tested it out, it seemed to be a lot stronger than his default beam.

OOC: In the actual game, Blast Beam when used in the primary slot is a yellow, slow firing but very strong beam, In the secondary slot it adds a charge function to the primary beam.

Sylux125 - April 29, 2009 02:22 AM (GMT)
Sylux casually sliced four pirates in half, while sniping with his arm cannon. "Life's been going good. Have about three million credits spread across various bank accounts. got a couple of girls at a bar the other day. Werent bad. Cashed in that Gemerix yet?

StrafeHunter - April 29, 2009 07:29 PM (GMT)
Approching planet Semikron

The hunter in red knew his mission, cause a distracrion while Strafe took out the pirate operation, he smiled, this was going to be fun.

Lactor - April 29, 2009 10:17 PM (GMT)
Lactor decided to switch over to just his knives. Much more fun. "I haven't cashed it in quite yet, I'm saving it in case of emergency." Lactor had a trail of bodies following him as he ran around gutting each pirate. "Glad to see you're well. What are you doing here anyway?"

Sylux125 - April 30, 2009 02:59 AM (GMT)
Sylux moced around a bit, throwing a few grenades"I have a pirate leader to assassinate, but he's probably hidign somewhere. I need to find him, before I can kill him. By the way, is is just me, or did you get about three times stronger? "

Lactor - April 30, 2009 03:34 AM (GMT)
Lactor grinned. "I'm not too sure about it either, but my suit and weapons have become more compatible with the energy crystal." he said. "I am now able to integrate entirely with the crystal. I gained this ability here. apparently this is where the crystal was created." Lactor continued slicing up pirates, but they seemed much more wary now. Took them long enough to learn. "So who is this pirate leader you are looking for?"

StrafeHunter - April 30, 2009 09:17 AM (GMT)
OOC: Any high ranking pirates would be in the pirate command near the core.

kenji imatake - April 30, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
Kenji saw something that didn't look like his ship anymore. he had ejected himself out before it was attacked, seeing a war of sorts going on. he was making his way to 2 figures, one he recognized as lactor... the other he was unsure about but knew shot down his ship.

OOC: sorry I was gone so long!

Lactor - April 30, 2009 10:13 PM (GMT)
Lactor stopped with his ramapge. the rest of the pirates were fleeing. he tackled one that seemed to be high in rank, and hacked his suit data. "All right!" Lactor said. "It seems that they have a command post near the core!" He looked over to see a figure running towards him. "Kenji?" he then realized that it was kenji's ship that had crashed into the outpost. "oh, boy." he sensed a few misunderstandings would have to be cleared up...

kenji imatake - May 2, 2009 10:39 PM (GMT)
2 guns attached to kenji's arm started to hum and get a bit bulkier, these 2 guns now had his 2 most devastating weapons, one shot from both would basically be instant death. he pulled out the vesper and rode it like a skateboard towards the two. "there must be more to this lactor than I thought. does he now know that I am wanted from the GF? I guess I better go talk this out." kenji summoned his weak light shielding in case they decide to attack. a faint golden light surrounded kenji as he approached the two.

Lactor - May 3, 2009 12:39 AM (GMT)
"Kenji, there seems to have been a slight misunderstanding..." Lactor began. "It seems Sylux was unaware of this ship belonging to you and used it for his... operation." He then realized that kenji should have been far away from here by now. "What is it that you are still doing here, anyway?"

kenji imatake - May 3, 2009 03:03 AM (GMT)
kenji grunted "..... as I was leaving, I accidentally stumbled upon a small fleet of space pirate fighters. I did not have proper weapons and I could only escape by returning here. almost all my systems on my ship are offline please understand so I could not properly attack back. I don't know where this fleet of ships went, they probably passed by_by now." there was a pirate slowly crawling towards them behind lactor, kenji shot the pirate with water, making kenji's gun look nothing but like a toy water gun. but once it landed the water instantly froze, growing on the body slowly. he shot it with his other gun which zapped it with electricity and it blew up, raining ice dust. "Zebesians..."
