Yeah but the metroids look too cute

kenji imatake - April 16, 2009 11:08 PM (GMT)
the name of that spider was yakuza btw. hardest for me was the nightmare when I was going through my 1% items run. (one missile expansion, nothing else.) too bad my friend messed it up... I should redo it.

DarkSamus - April 16, 2009 11:12 PM (GMT)
They're all easy. I can beat all of them and never get hit. Except Nettori and Nightmare. They hit me. Its impossible not to get hit. Also the BOX. Those flame walls knock me off D:

kenji imatake - April 16, 2009 11:36 PM (GMT)
yeah... they all are for me too. I never get hit by B.O.X on the first encounter anymore. if you go directly on top of them flame wall makin bombs, they won't hitcha. the reason being, the bombs were meant to go to the sides, not straight up. try it n see if it works.

Metroidude - April 17, 2009 02:19 PM (GMT)
You know theres a way to avoid that one missile tank in PYR.

kenji imatake - April 17, 2009 03:54 PM (GMT)
yeah... with cheats.

Yes it is possible. You just never try. When we starts moving all around just jump on the ladder and he will stop moving so fast and start going very slowley near you. Just shoot his big glooby face!

Miles07 - April 18, 2009 11:08 PM (GMT)
*faceslap* That's not what we're talking about, SniperStorm. READ THE POSTS.

SniperStorm - April 19, 2009 06:07 PM (GMT)
I new that! ^_^ I just was too lazy too care!

I would give you guys a link, but cant remember the title of youtube video! :P

SniperStorm - April 19, 2009 09:49 PM (GMT)
What? For the bosses or the Missle tank?

Metroidude - April 19, 2009 11:40 PM (GMT)
actually, both.
You know how hard it is to find a youtube video when it's not accurately titled?

SniperStorm - April 19, 2009 11:45 PM (GMT)
Hmmmmmm. Yes. Anyway lets get back on track. Any other hard bosses?

BPac21 - April 20, 2009 12:37 AM (GMT)
I'd like to know WHICH MISSLE TANK IS IT? Anyway, for me it's the Nightmare :ph43r:

Metroidude - April 20, 2009 01:50 AM (GMT)
Personally, none of them were easy for me... They were all hard...

TOO LAZY TO CARE?! Pardon me, but an excuse like being TOO LAZY TO CARE and ^_^ do not belong in the same post. Excuses like being TOO LAZY TO CARE don't even belong on this board. If you're too lazy to care that the comment you made had NOTHING to do with the current thread of conversation, then I don't see how you aren't too lazy to care about putting pants on in the morning, or going all the way to the cafeteria to get a lunch. I honestly hope you aren't too lazy to care about these things when verbally communicating with people, because I don't see how they can put up with it. It's called common sense, and there needs to be more of it in the posts you guys make because I'm getting sick of having to rant about it in every thread I read now. SHAPE. UP.

Oh, and to BPac21, the missile tank is in PYR, in a morphball tunnel that you need to pass through to progress in the game. There are no alternate methods to get to where you need to go and there are no tricks that can be done to get around it besides using an Action Replay or Gameshark.

Metroidude - April 20, 2009 12:48 PM (GMT)
I saw a YouTube video where the guy used shinesparking.
I liked the bosses in MF, all but the Varia suit guardian...

Miles07 - April 22, 2009 05:34 AM (GMT)
The huge Core-X? Somehow, I know when I first faced that boss, to use the Charge Beam to get rid of it. I didn't know where I pulled that from, but it seemed to work!

BTW, did you ever think to shoot the Core-X while it's connected to that Data Room outlet with Missiles? Does damaging it before the battle have any bearing or effect AT ALL during that battle, or on anything, for that matter?

Gendreavus - April 22, 2009 08:01 AM (GMT)
I'm in the exact same boat as you Miles. I don't know how or why, but as soon as I saw the thing I started blasting it with charge beams. I beat it once using only the charge beam spin attack.

I'm pretty sure I've tried attacking it while it's draining the data, but it didn't do anything. I'm not 100% on that, since I've never measured out its health, but I highly doubt it felt a thing.

Miles07 - April 22, 2009 05:47 PM (GMT)
The Proto-Screw Attack works on that? Oh, but of course it'd deplete your health at the same time, too.

Metroidude - April 22, 2009 11:23 PM (GMT)
Not very effective then, is it? :P I think I'd rather shoot it like heck.

Gendreavus - April 25, 2009 09:28 AM (GMT)
It does hurt you a bit, but I used it more to get rid of the spheres surrounding it than to actually hurt it. It pretty much tears through the orb things.

SniperStorm - April 25, 2009 05:31 PM (GMT)
GiantCore x? That thing is easy!

ProtoTroid Gamma - April 26, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
Me, that spider thing (what's it called?) and Nettori. That thing was just annoying.

Miles07 - April 26, 2009 06:18 AM (GMT)
The Spider-X is THE most annoying boss in the history of Metroid... even more than the Boost Guardian, and that's really sayin' something.

Dirge - April 29, 2009 01:33 AM (GMT)
Undoubtedly, I had the hardest time with nightmare. Took me 10 tries to beat. He was a Nightmare to beat, so to say :P

Zerchito - May 6, 2009 07:27 PM (GMT)
The hardest boss in Metroid Fusion was definitely Arachnoid (The Spider-X thingy), just as the Boost Guardian in Metroid Prime Echoes it took me about ten times to beat or something
The Spin Jump it did was really annoying >_>

Oh come on! He wasn't that hard or annoying! Just bounce around with Screw attack and nail him with a charge beam. Repeat! :P
