Title: Metroid Zork
Description: Greatness or a Pitiful Death?
Lactor - June 25, 2009 12:04 AM (GMT)
Zork is basically a choose-your-own-adventure text adventure, where you're put into a situation and your choices affect the outcome. I'm going and try to put a Metroid spin on it. Let's see how well this works.
CURRENTLY STARTING NEW GAME IN DATA SLOT:1

CHAPTER 1: Imprisonment
You awake to find yourself in a cold room. The floor you are lying on seems to be made of metal. There is a small light on the ceiling that faintly lights the room. The walls behind you and to your left and right are simply bare metal. The wall infront of you has a metal door. There seems to be no way to open it. There is a slight humming coming from the walls.
In your current inventory, you have nothing. You are wearing what seems to be a prison suit made of a cotton fiber blend.
What is your next action?
At this point, you gain control of your characters and choose your character's next action. Tell me what you do next, and then I tell you what happens to your characters. Depending on how many people participate, there will be multiple people in different, identical prison cells. One person to one cell. Of course, your characters don't know anyone else is here. Oh, yeah, and your characters currently have no memory of how they got here. Remember, your characters have nothing. no weapons, no armor. However, any natural abilities will work. Start participating!

"Ugh...Where am I?" Daniel looked around, he definitely wasn't smiling as his nickname had suggested he would "Well, this is a bit of a problem...Maybe the GF finally figured out I knew the truth...That'd be ironic." Even in his current situation, he managed to crack a smile; the irony of this situation was great, he could recognize that. "Alright, if this is some sort of experiment, I ain't gonna go insane. I've got..." He looked down at his suit; no armour with no pockets; no pockets meant no painkillers. Great. He was going to have one Hell of a rough time in a day or so; that is if they feed him. "Alright, you've got my armour and replaced it with this stupid jumpsuit. I'll find a way out, I always do; that's why I have a complete ring of red!" He rolls the sleeves of the jumpsuit up above my elbows; revealing several bands of scars, several completely red; several mixed black and red.
"Well, time to get crackin', Smiley." He mutters to himself; he notices the slight hum from the walls "Ha, ya stupid dolts, the engine's out of alignment!" He chuckles to himself before returning to his train of thought; nothing aside from the door, alright, lets focus on the door. "Alright, if this is some sort of bad puzzle area, I'll be pissed. I hate puzzles; well, I guess planning an assault is considered a puzzle of sort. Alright, lets keep on that thought, plan your escape. Count on finding a rifle on the way, and you're set. So long as you can find a ship; or more preferably the ATC you raided." There's gotta be someway to open this door; perhaps it's a mag-lock, in which case, he was pretty screwed.
Why must the galaxy test his patience? Oh well, time to think. He takes a sit on the hard metal floor; sitting against the wall for back support. "Alright, maybe if I scream loud enough someone will get pissed..." He thinks it over for a second "Alright, definitely a bad idea. They have a gun, I don't..." He stand back up, and begins pounding on the walls, hoping that he could signal someone else, praying that he wasn't the sole passenger on this ship. In practicallity, prisons like these were made for one or two people; doubtful he was going to get an actual response.
Lactor - June 25, 2009 05:58 PM (GMT)
Hmm.. not quite what I expected, but okay.
What you can do is have your characters say stuff and take actions, but the story and situations are left entirely up to the narrator. In other words, if you go through a door, you can't really say what's on the other side of it, because the narrator hasn't told you yet.
Your pounding echoes on miserably. No one seems to be answering. Perhaps they are asleep, or you are simply alone.
Then something pounds on the door. There are yells, and you hear a growl on the other side of the door. It slowly starts to open...

((That was just Daniel's thought; and his way of insulting whoever captured him. 'Tis all, sorry if it seemed like I was saying that was what it was.))
Daniel took a step back; his captors probably weren't the GF, unless they had a habit of letting creatures attack their prisoners. His money was now on a mercenary group, some militant empire, or the Space Pirates. Even if their Command had been dissolved, they still raided, you don't fight your very basic purpose "Alright, think Smiley, think. Nothing in the room, anything on you? No, just your jumper. If this is anything like the creatures I faced on the last mission aboard a derelict, it wouldn't do much good." He began to panic; he backed into the middle of the back wall. His plan was to get the...thing out there to charge him, and dodge out of the way and have it smash its head on the metal wall, and sprint to freedom, and seal the door behind him. "Well, c'mon then, you can do this Smiley. You made it off of a Pirate stronghold without ammo, food, or water. You can do this."
He begins to count in the back of his mind, something that's always helped him, he'd flick his right index finger up, and with it his eyes for a millisecond, just a bizarre little nervous tick he had, the hiss of the door made him nervous; or perhaps it was the hiss of whatever was behind the door. "Bugger..."
StrafeHunter - June 25, 2009 08:12 PM (GMT)
The man opened his eyes. He had no idea who he was or where he was. He felt his mind slip back into blackness and was unconcious once more.
kenji imatake - June 25, 2009 10:48 PM (GMT)
Kenji opened his eyes and saw a light bulb shining into his eyes "huh?" He got up and looked at his surroundings. Kenji had a puzzled look on his face "Where the heck am I...?" then he looked down in a shocked look "my...my armor! how is it possible?! my armor is interrogated in me!" his orange burning eyes were fierce yet calm as he kept quiet and listened to the humming noise in the wall and looked at all the corners of the room. "whatever is in the wall sounds like it is in need of maintenance, I can see I am in a prison cell of sorts so that means there must be one next to me." Kenji thought to himself. He unfolded his wings and flew over to the most shadowiest corner of the ceiling which also happened to be sorta loose. "the fools... they never thought about their corners did they?" He started pushing as best as he could though without his suit, it would be a lot harder. he finally reached how far the metal would go because he needed to get rid of the screws that were holding it. it was about as big as a cat could go through, not big enough. Then kenji detects sound from behind the door. He puts himself as much into the darkness as he can so they might not see him, his wings morphing into his skin doing so because they would probably do something about that. so now he waits.

Useless indeed, but atmoshperic...
...ok, so I was tired and couldn't think of anything better!
Lactor - June 26, 2009 04:38 PM (GMT)
Alright, now that more than one person is in this, I'll do each person's situation seperately.
Orkpower:
The door opens completely. There seems to be a large human standing with a leash in his hand. On the leash seems to be a wolf-like animal. It is of a monstrous size, atleast 6 feet in length, and it goes up to your shoulders in height.. It's eyes glow red, and it's jaws open and close rapidly, saliva drenching the floor in front of it. It seems to be ravenous. More than likely it's masters were starving it in preparation for today...
"Execution Day, Smiley." says the large man. "You didn't forget, did you? I'm hurt." He seems to be grinning widely. His teeth have been sharpened to points.
He lets go of the leash, and the beast charges you at an alarming speed. You see someone behind the large man out of the corner of your eye, and sirens go off inside the ship. The man turns around and seems to collapse onto the floor. But the beast is your main problem as it quickly closes the distance...
Kenji:
The door swings open, and someone dashes in. The form seems to suggest a human. You see no identifying crest on their armor. They quickly look around, and then you hear them speak. The voice sounds female. "Whoever it is, come out of the corner slowly. I'm here to help you. You would be Kenji, am I right?"
StrafeHunter:
You are awakened again by a pounding on the door. To your surprise, the door explodes. An armored form walks in. You hear a gruff male voice yell "Enough laziness! get up and run if you value your life!" You see more armored forms running through the hall behind him. Sirens go off inside the ship.
Orkpower - June 26, 2009 11:27 PM (GMT)
"Great, we've got it behaving just like I expected..." Daniel smiles as the beast rushes him "C'mon then, let's have at it ya pooch!" Fear is welling up inside, he does his best to suppress his fear; no dice. He begins to panic like he did back on that infernal station; whoever that bounty hunter was going to get it...But that was something for another time, this dog was going to be a problem. As the beast reached snapping range, he bounded off of the wall, breaking into a roll as he hit the floor; his plan seemed to have worked. "Great, now run Smiley!" He muttered to himself before jumping through the door. "Great, no controls that I can see; so much for that idea. ANYONE?! EVERYONE!!" He screamed in fear. "C'mon Daniel, you can do this. Just keep your mind focused; focus on...finding the person that double-crossed you. Yes, focus, focus..." He shrugged it off, the idea of that hound ripping him apart was not pleasant; thank the heavens he was a runner; he'd be no match for the abomination if he weren't. "C'MON! SOMEONE'S GOTTA BE OUT THERE!"
Daniel closed his eyes to quickly regain his composure; no cigar, still panicked. "Alright, that man was human; Federation it is. Well, if I make it out of here, I'll be sure to kill every Marine I meet until I die."
kenji imatake - June 27, 2009 01:04 AM (GMT)
"I wonder how long I have been dazed. I seem to have time problems" kenji thought to himself. He jumped down and as he landed he did a roll turned around quickly and got up. "yes, I would be Kenji... Kenji Imatake. And who might you be? And where exactly are we?" His orange eyes seemed to burn into the visor of this person but they looked calm and friendly.
EDIT: Kenji retains 3 things without his suit, programmable guns, and the vesper...
he retains his physical conditions, his ability to fly, and last but not least his stare. if you look into kenji's eyes for a while, it might make you want to look away because they seem to radiate. it's kinda like trying to look into the sun, but it isn't bright.
I PONDER1024 - June 27, 2009 04:59 AM (GMT)
Kal'Hitora suddenly awoke and reaced for his Moch 12 SoniC Blaster... but it was not there. He searched the room for anything usefull.
"Nope. Nothing," he said.
He walked slowly to the Metel door and looked underneath it. Just darkness.
He felt the rage from Space Pirate instinct build up inside him...
"Let me out from this bloody cell!!!!!," he screamed.
He slowly took deep breaths... concentrate
StrafeHunter - June 27, 2009 10:18 AM (GMT)
The man ran. He had no idea how or why, but he didn't tire or slow at any point. While running he though about what he knew about himself. Well, he was definately male, he was in perfect physical cindition. He had long black hair and a thin goatee. Under his overalls most of his chest was plated with a dull black metal; he couldn't remember why it was like that, but he knew it was vital for his life.
Lactor - June 27, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
Okay, the current situation stands as such: Smiley, Strafe, and Kenji have basically been broken out of their cells. Smiley has no idea what's going on, and is currently running through the prison ship. Strafe is also running, but he is in the hands of whatever group broke him out. Kenji is in his cell, talking with one of his rescuers. Kal'Hitora is in his cell, but has not been broken out yet (A space pirate? interesting...).
Smiley:
You keep running. You notice the sirens are even louder, and a panicked voice over the intercom screams "ATTACK! ATTACK! I REPEAT, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! THE PRISONERS HAVE ALSO ESCAPED! CODE RED! CODE RED!" The beast pursues you relentlessly, and you notice that people are running all over the ship. Laser bolts fly everywhere, and the prison cells seem to have opened. You have barely enough time to register all this as the beast leaps toward you. Suddenly, a missle hits it in the side, and a large explosion occurs. The beast is now splattered over the walls. A man steps out of a side corridor. "Yeesh, that's the fourth one now." He glances at you. "Dan Smiley, correct? I have no time to chat, but if you keep going down this corridor and take a left, we can get you to safety." Two more beasts appear in the corridor you came down. The turns around and swears. He yells "Get out of here, now!" and he starts firing at the beasts.
Strafe:
You notice that you have an escort. the peson next to you grabs you, and rockets ahead on his suit's boosters. He drops you unceremoniously into the docking bay, where more people are waiting. They grab you and pull you behind a crate. "Stay here and don't do anything." you hear someone say.
Kenji:
The woman immediately turns around and shoots a guard that was trying to sneak up on her. She turns back. "We are trying to disable this prison ship. If you would, go down the corridor and meet up with my group we can get you to safety. She gets up and exits the room, and you notice more people running through the corridors of the ship.
Kal'Hitora:
To your surprise, the door opens. You see people standing in front of the door. Humans. "A pirate?!" one of them exclaims. "Are you sure this is the right cell?" The person behind him shrugs. "orders are orders. Brief him and go." The first man turns back to you. "This is a jailbreak. You need to get moving. Go down this corridor, and then take an immediate right. From there make your way to the docking bay. You'll be safe there."
kenji imatake - June 27, 2009 06:50 PM (GMT)
Kenji is unsure what to think, but these people didn't seem to be of hostile intent. "a prison cell...?" he stood for a moment then unfolded his wings and flew down the corridors. he slowed down as he got to the group and let his wings seep back into his body "so now what?"
Orkpower - June 27, 2009 07:16 PM (GMT)
"Like 'ell I will! I don't know a thing about you; for all I know you're one of the blighters that captured me!" He glares at the man for a second "Look, pass me a pistol and I'll be more than happy to oblige; but right now, I trust you as much as I'd trust a Space Pirate!" Daniel takes a look at the beasts; maybe it would be a better idea to...trust...his supposed savior for the moment. "Right then, nevermind!" he continues his original sprint, this time turning left. "Wonder what's going to happen...Wonder if I'll be blown to bits by these folk, or if I'll be saved..." he mutters to himself. The clanking of his feet on the floor was rather irritating, this is why he liked his little ATC; it was so small that he'd only have to take a few steps to get out of bed, and into the pilot's seat.
Sure, he had to go on supply runs frequently; but it was worth it to see the odd newbie on the colony or station panic and call some sort of alert out. He looked down at his hands; it was trembling, and definitely not because of fear. He had a blinding headache; but he usually had one of those. He felt a bit tired, he had just chalked it up to the drug they used on him to get him here; maybe it was because he'd been here for more than a day without his painkillers? That's ought to be the only feasible explanation out there; unless this was just some huge coincidence. "Well great..." he took three deep breaths, hoping to calm himself; sure enough, it helped. If only a smidgen; it still helped. "What's next Smiley? Running into another prisoner; finding a beautiful woman; finding the bounty hunter that betrayed you?" He mocked himself, this was one bizarre 'adventure'...
I PONDER1024 - June 29, 2009 01:13 AM (GMT)
Kal'Hitora-"I'm not your average Pirate. I rebeled a long time ago. I thought that the pirates had caught me.
One of the Men-"Just get moving!"
In long strides Kal'Hitora ran down the corridor... no rights? He kept running until he finnaly found one. He continued on down untill he made himself to the docking bay. He looked around for anyone else.
Lactor - June 29, 2009 07:14 PM (GMT)
Current situation: Smiley is moving toward the docking bay. Strafe is in the docking bay, although we don't know his next actions just yet. Kal'Hitora is in the same docking bay as Strafe, but doesn't know he's here. Kenji has met up with the group that is attacking the prison ship.
Smiley:
You keep running, and your headache seems to be getting worse, then subsiding, than getting worse again. You hear the sounds of battle ahead and run right into the crossfire. Ducking your head, you try your best to follow the man's directions. You are pulled behind some crates, then bundled along until you reach the docking bay and are dumped next to another freed prisoner. The prisoner has long black hair and a thin goatee. (This is Strafe, although you don't know it yet.)
Strafe:
You notice the new prisoner dumped next to you. the man seems to be in a foul mood. You try to look over the crate, but your head is almost blown off by a stray laser bolt. You hastily pull your head back down.
Kenji:
The group explains to you that they are a special ops team from the GF, currently shutting down an unauthorized operation. They tell you that the best thing to do would be to rendezvous with the main force in the docking bay and find the rest of the prisoners. You are then handed a box of weaponry and told to equip yourself and the prisoners as soon as possible. They give you drections to the docking bay where the prisoners are held.
Kal'Hitora:
You are called over by one of the soldiers. They seem surprised to see you at first, but they then put you next to two other humans. They both appear to be prisoners.
Orkpower - June 29, 2009 07:48 PM (GMT)
"Great work Smiley, you just had to go against your instincts, didn't ya? You just had to trust the complete stranger, didn't ya? I wish I had taken my own route; if I can survive all that, I think I can survive all this." He scolded himself; he knew this was a bad idea, he knew it and yet he went anyways. He sighed with frustration before looking up "Oh, you've been redetained too, eh? Guess I can take solace in the fact that I'm not the only person on this blasted prison, or whatever this is..." He rolled his sleeves down, trying to hide his scar-riddled arms; as proud as he was of them, now was probably not the best time to show off. "Any idea what's going on? I just woke up here a few minutes ago, whoever's running this ship tried to kill me by letting a hound loose towards my direction; other than that, I haven't a clue what the Hell's going on. Anything you can tell?"
He rolled his eyes at the fact he was doing it again; he was placing his trust in a stranger to tell him what was going on. Never a good idea. He poked his head up to catch a glimpse of what was going on; nice firefight going down, he wished he could join in. He let out a sigh before plopping back down on his rear-end; this was going to be as exciting as watching some suit fill out paperwork; that is to say, boring as all Hell. He scratched at the small pin-prick at the back of his neck, that was where he was injected with the painkillers. The injection site was tiny and had scabbed over; alright that meant he was here for more than a day. Ok, now he was getting somewhere; he just needed to figure out who was who, and which side he was going to side with. "Think Smiley...Think..."
Lactor - July 2, 2009 04:01 PM (GMT)
Alright, this next one will be addressing the the group in the docking bay, but not kenji, since he isn't there as of yet.
Group:
You notice someone new walk up to you. Your guards salute him, so it seems he's the one in charge here. He introduces himself as General Krosin. He glances over all of you and frowns. "Not everyone's here yet?" he sighs. "I'll start the briefing anyway." he then hands each of you a map. As he talks, he points out the different parts of the ship. "We are currently in the docking bay near the bottom of the ship. We've already cleared and secured the lower levels, such as the prison, the kitchen, and the lab. However, our targets are holed up in the command center and we can't get in. They seem to have fortified it to the point that it's a miniature fortress. Anyone who even gets in sight is vaporized by some new weapon they're wielding. Any attempts to try and hack into the ship systems are immediately deflected by their software. What we need you to do is split into two groups. the first group of two people will go through the ventilation and try to find a way into the computer center. Once there, upload a virus into their system that will crash their system and allow us to open the command center doors. Once you do that try to find the plans to the weapon they're developing on this ship. The rest of you will join up with the large part of our force and try to secure as many parts of the ship as possible before we make our final run into the command center. One of the other prisoners should be down here with weaponry any minute now." he hands you all comm sets. "These will keep you up to date on any new intel we get on the ship and it's systems."
OOC: so you can all move out once kenji gets there with your weapons. Split yourselves into two groups: One group of two to sneak into the computer center, and the rest of you will go with the main force to fight your way through the ship. This new weapon they're talking about is the one that Krosin mentioned earlier that can vaporize people on the spot. That's all the intel you know at the moment. You are currently unaware of the enemy's numbers, but their current threat level is D (F is the lowest, then E, D, C, B, A, and finally S.)
Enemy number: ???
Threat Level: D
Objectives:
Group 1: two people characters: Unknown.
sneak into Computer System, and upload virus. Find the plans for their new weapon.
Group 2: everyone else
join up with main force and clear out the rest of the ship.
Orkpower - July 2, 2009 05:37 PM (GMT)
"I'll go through the vents. I've had experience with this sort of movement and combat. I don't trust you, but I don't have a choice, now do I? Now, who's gonna be my supposed partner?" He rolls his neck around this was going against everything his instincts told him; but he'd rather go back to prison and find a way out than be shot. "I also hope you have a projectile-based weapon. If not, I'll be going without a weapon." He closes his eyes for a second to think things over, trying to plan out the safest route. "Alright, do you have any explosives, Krosin? Or more specifically, high-grade breaching charges? I think we may have a few issues with getting to the core through the vents. I don't think they'll have left the core so open to attack from the vents; think about the logic in it. They invest so much time and effort in this place, only to leave the vents un-defended? I don't think so; they've got something up there to mow us down. I can't be sure, but you'd think they'd be smart enough to figure out such an obvious weak spo...You had already figured this out, hadn't you?!"
He glared at the general for a second; trying to make something of his paranoia. He knew he was right, this man was trying to kill him. "I'll go, just to give you a black-mark on your record." Daniel was going to prove that he'd earned another band of red scars, he was going to get this Krosin fellow in hot-water for not having him killed.
((OOC: Once again, just Daniel's thoughts/paranoias))
kenji imatake - July 2, 2009 06:49 PM (GMT)
Kenji looks through the box but with no luck, didn't see any of his weapons. "I guess this odd prison place must have it along with my armor and the vesper somewhere..." Kenji looked through the box a bit more frustrated looking and took out the powerful of the small guns and proceeded to put it on his arm but stopped himself remembering he didn't have his armor. he ran to the docking bays, shooting at things that he knew was the enemy and ducking, rolling, jumping over bodies and flames, helping out a trooper for a second, and seemingly finding no others yet. he reached a still closed door in a area cleared of enemies that was dented and scorched. Kenji approached it and asked "is anyone in there?" then he started to open the door.
EDIT: OOC: also Orkpower, your character is awesome did I tell ya that? *gives cookie*
StrafeHunter - July 2, 2009 08:05 PM (GMT)
The man heard someone call his name, so he was called "Strafe"? He looked around at the other and though, "Well, I bett er wait and do what I'm told, then maybe I'll get my memories back... eventually..."
Lactor - July 4, 2009 03:16 PM (GMT)
All right, we got one volunteer.
Group: (Everyone's here now)
General Krosin looked at Smiley. This man is unnecessarily paranoid... he thought. But then, that's what they needed for a mission like this. He also noticed another prisoner walk in with a box of crates. he Looked over the data sheets and identified him as Kenji. "Good, our weapons are here." said the General. "Everyone equip themselves as needed, then move out." The box of weapons is placed in the middle for everyone to see. There are some explosives, 5 light blasters, 3 Auto-Laser rifles, and one rocket launcher. There are also some short plasma blades (about 6 inches in length). "Dig in." says the General.
Enemy number: ???
Threat Level: D
Objectives:
Group 1: two people. Characters: Smiley, and one more.
sneak into Computer System, and upload virus. Find the plans for their new weapon.
Group 2: everyone else
join up with main force and clear out the rest of the ship.
kenji imatake - July 4, 2009 04:39 PM (GMT)
Kenji saw that this "smiley" guy was unsettled and paranoid in a sense. " wonder if it was true... could this guy possibly be the same guy as the one who worked for the GF? and had a green smiley face on his ship which was stolen from the space pirates? I dunno if that was just gossip, but who knows..." Kenji thought quietly to himself. "what are our objectives? I just made it here and must have missed the meeting." He was holding the gun he was using, the light blaster, and he dug out a plasma blade as well so he was balanced both short and long distance. "also General err..." he looked at the general and found what he wanted. then said "General Krosin, is it possible that my armor and weapons are on this place? I cannot do much without my suit, though I understand you are trying to help us get out... is it here do you know?"
Orkpower - July 4, 2009 06:07 PM (GMT)
"I'll be taking a blade. I don't like these new energy-based weapons. And the rocket-launchers are just too dangerous in this close-a-quarters for my liking. I will however take a few rockets and an explosive charge. Gonna jerry-rig myself a breaching charge." He picked up a plasma blade and an explosive charge. "Permission to steal ammo from the dunce to pick up the rocket launcher?" He asked, a grin forming back on his face. He was back in one of his elements; perhaps even going alone! "Well, anything I should know before I start on my little 'jog'?" He asked as he started to rub at one of the scars through the sleeve of his jumpsuit. "Any chance my rifle's on this ship?"
StrafeHunter - July 5, 2009 02:08 PM (GMT)
Strafe grabbed two light blasters and strapped two plasma blades to his back. "Ok, I'm ready" he said, "whats the plan?"
Sylux125 - July 11, 2009 04:18 AM (GMT)
OOC-Is it too late to join? well if it isnt, im bringing in a new guy called Morpheus. His proflie is short. Ill post what you need to know here.
Demigod of Dreams. Simple. Powers: Able to cause up to 10 targets within a sight range to fall into a deep sleep. However, the more strong willed the person, the longer it takes for the spell to work. Weapons: Celestial Scythe. Slightly unstable. Can shoot out a beam of confusion energy. Virtually Unbreakable.
Morpheus smiled. Finally a jailbreak. He knew that his dream-planting would get them somewhere. He stepped outside his cell, and found out he was.... the last to leave. EVERYONE ELSE WAS ON A SHIP!. Crap. Well, time to get on the ship as well.
kenji imatake - July 11, 2009 06:09 AM (GMT)
OOC: sylux... why does Morpheus remind me of something from Percy Jackson and the Olympians? Hehe
After hearing the news from a fellow prisoner, Kenji knew just what he would do, he might even find his suit and weapons on the way. "General... I would like to go upload the virus. I have various hacking skills that I believe can be of use." Kenji was uncertain of how the person he was going with, "smiley" would think of it, but he really needed his suit or he felt he was going to go crazy.
Lactor - July 11, 2009 06:06 PM (GMT)
All right, first off, I would like to apologize for the late update. I've been pretty busy lately, and I fell sick on top of that, so I haven't been able to get on the web much. I'm feeling better now, so I should be able to continue writing the story.
Also sylux, sorry, but You may need to reform your character a bit. The whole "jailbreak" scene is pretty much done, so you have two options.
A: be one of the soldiers in Krosin's team
B: wait until this battle is over and I'll see if I can introduce you into the story.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Oh yeah, Krosin is now on the characters topic. check out the character sheet if you feel like knowing a little more about his capabilities.
On with the story...
Krosin looked between all of the prisoners. I can't believe I'm relying on these people to get the job done... he thought. Ah well. "So Smiley and Kenji will head out towards the computer room. Make sure you get there as soon as possible, and contact me as soon as you upload the virus and find the plans for the new weapons. Everyone else will come with me and clean up the rest of the ship and make our way to the command post. once there, we will wait for the signal from the other team and prepare to blow our way into the command center if needed." He leads all of you outside to the main hallway, and opens a small side vent. "It's a tight fit, but you two should be able to get inside. We've secured the first 100 meters of ventilation, but after that you're on your own. Kenji, your suit will most likley be in the computer room. I just hope they haven't tampered with it too much. Smiley, good luck. I expect great things from you." He leads everyone else over to the rest of the troops. He walks to the head of the group, and starts giving orders. the team start to move out.
All right, this is the way the battle is going to work. I'm going to list the teams, and the objectives of each one. If there are any traps or enemies up ahead, I'll list those too.

He cringed as Krosin wished him luck; luck was good, unless it was uttered from the lips a GF dog. Smiley looked at this Kenji fellow, looked nice enough; he trusted him as far as he could throw him, not at all. "Alright, I'll go first." He wasn't going to believe his partner to warn him of any traps up ahead, let alone not cut him off. "I'll take your lack of response as a yes, that I can take the rockets." He chuckled, this plan may actually work; granted this wasn't an elaborate hoax to make it look like the GF were heroes when they sanctioned the killing of all the prisoners. The irony was far from lost on him, he was back working for the GF, even if it was against his will...Like before. He should have just taken the time for stealing the suit and rifle, not like he couldn't do it; not like he wasn't fit enough to hold his own against others.
He grabbed a couple of the rockets from the crate, or rather the actual rocket launcher; he grabbed his sleeve, and cut it off at the shoulder. He cut the sleeve into long strips, heading vertically down it. He tied a rocket to each of the explosive charges he had grabbed. Using the other sleeve, he made a small belt to slide the munitions into. "Well, wish me luck; granted you aren't a soldier for the GF, in which case, I hope you die a slow painful death. If not, sorry 'bout that, I just hate the GF; they're worse than the Space Pirates." He chuckled as he climbed into the vent, the air inside was colder than outside. "Huh, either I'm missing something, or their environmental systems are so mucked up they can't figure out they need warmth to keep the freezing effect of space out...Idiots." The metal of the explosives screeched against the hard metal vents, the headache just kept getting worse and worse. "You comin' or what? Ya chicken?"

"hey... you work solo too huh? I despise the Galactic Feds from the last time that happened... they marked me as a traitor which I had not figured out why yet and I was forced to fly to a planet with an unstable atmosphere just to get away from them... then my ship was blasted outta the sky by one of them, I was lucky to survive. You think I work with them? bah, never. I Plan on getting my suit and finding a way outta here afterward... I advise you do the same, you never know what could come next. Heck, they could even be trying to lead us to our deaths right now on purpose." Kenji Climbed in and scurried at a pretty fast speed "Maybe I should have gone in front... ah well, go ahead then. I cant guarantee there aren't any traps up ahead though, we best be careful." Kenji knew smiley didn't trust him, so Kenji decided to give him some space. What he said was all truth though, but he doubt this guy would believe him, after all he seemed to be working with the Galactic federation like he was one of them. Kenji was just using them as a way to get to his weapons and armor though, he didn't really care what happened to them, the only group of people he cared about were the prisoners, once they are free he would guess the federation would do what they did to him... release him like a mouse into a maze full of cats. something must be done before that happened and Kenji was already thinking of a plan.

OOC: Eh, that works. Lieutenant Morpheus has a nice ring to it.
Team 1: Kenji and Smiley.
You keep crawling through the vents in the atmosphere of hostility you so cleverly conjured up. You start to notice a humming up ahead, and come to a stop in front of a glowing panel on the vent wall to your right. it has a 3 switches. the one on the right is in the up position, and the other ones are down. In front of you, approximately 10 feet ahead, is a crackling electrical barrier. it lights up the vent with its energy. on your left is a large, shiny red button. you notice some wires leading from the glowing panel to the electric barrier, and wires from the button to the barrier as well. you also notice some hinges on the floor below you, and some creases in the metal floor. You hear over the comm-set the sounds of battle. It sounds like Krosin and the others have gotten themselves into trouble...
Team 2: Krosin's team, Strafe, and Morpheus.
Krosin had his team move ahead carefully. The lower ship was secure, but who knows what they had hiding around here... His mind moved to the other team. Smiley was a paranoid GF hater, and it seemed that kenji was a former falsely accused fugitive from the GF. And now they were on the same team with the GF... Krosin sighed. The way the GF was operating recently didn't suit him at all. Nothing like when he was a little kid. Especially now that they had even started suspecting himself for his involvement with the rogue mercenary Lactor... Perhaps it was time- He noticed movement up ahead. Out appeared 4 of the dog-beasts, along with 6 human warriors. the beasts gave a howl and charged. "Morpheus! take the point and get everyone prepared. Make sure those dogs don't breach our front line. Strafe, keep yourself alive as best as you can. I'll try to snipe the enemy humans."
Enemies: 4x Dog-beasts.
6x humans
The dog beasts are quick and vicious. while they move fast and strike hard,
they're armor isn't the best. they'll go down pretty easily after a couple shots.
The humans are the equivalent of a GF grunt. They are equipped with blasters,

Morpheus yawned. This happened a lot. Being the demi-god of dreams and such, he was sleepy at the msot inconvientint times. Oh well.
"Ok everyone" he said sleepily "Im gonna make those dog thingy's fall asleep" Morpheus waved a hand, and the beasts dropped down "Ok, now, one of you , make sure those dog's never wake up, and the rest, follow me and take out those soldiers" Morpheus charged forward, his scythe ready to cleave

He managed to look behind him, he figured that this guy wasn't properly trained in the fine arts of lying, so he was going to test him "Alright; if you're a GF hater like you claim, how 'bout we do a raid afterwords? I've a contact in one of the less...reputable organizations that would like to see the GF fall. I think I could get a job for us; given you aren't a GF spy." He watched his partner's face for any signs of a lie. "Well, what's your answer. They don't pay us much, only what we find there. Minus what we've been requested to take." He grinned as a few choice memories popped into his mind.
kenji imatake - July 14, 2009 01:14 AM (GMT)
"Who cares about payment, the payment would be to see the galaxy free of them for me. I see this whole prison as a threat, I would rather blow the whole place up than just the Feds" Kenji said with a smile "also, bringing with us the other prisoners, I have no doubt the feds were just as bad to them or going to be just as bad too. As long as the galaxy is not in control of fools, I am a happy camper." After what Kenji had been through before, he saw the evil of the Galactic federation and how they acted upon themselves and others. Kenji had heard of a rouge bounty hunter named Sylux and has been looking for a blue ship with green lights before this happened. "say have you ever heard of the bounty hunter Sylux? I have been looking for Sylux before this happened, Sylux is a Galactic federation hater too. I wonder if maybe he is a part of this group...?"
Kenji looked at the surrounding "So... now what?"
OOC: Literally the bounty hunter sylux btw, the same exact one from Metroid Prime: Hunters.
Sylux125 - July 14, 2009 01:30 AM (GMT)

Orkpower - July 14, 2009 01:38 AM (GMT)
The man seemed to be pretty serious; no nervous twinges or lying ticks that Daniel could see. He didn't like working with him, but if this man saved his life; he'd be like a brother to Daniel. And being a brother to Daniel meant he'd go to the ends of the galaxy to help them. "We lay one of the charges, set the timer to five minutes, and get back. We sever all of the cords, and blow anyone below to bits. Should make a pretty explosion, too. The GF still likes the kinetic triggers for their explosives; meaning they're still fairly easy to set off. I managed to survive stranded more than a day on a Space Pirate station without any ammo. I think we can handle this. How about we take these weapon schematics for ourselves? They'd probably fetch a high-price to fund our operation. And Sylux? Yeah, I've heard of him; I've even seen his picture. I think he may have been the one that screwed me over, and stranding me on that station."
He chuckled, and laid the explosive down. "Say, you do anything to commemorate your victories? I keep rings of scars to remember victories and defeats. Oh, have ya ever used a projectile rifle? The sound of the brass hitting the ground combined with the twang of a gauss system charging...It's quite nice."
