BTW, can anyone get screenies of what a Plasma Beam or a Wave Beam (or both) look like without the Ice Beam?

yeah the plazma beam is just green and a small bean shaped and the wave beam is just purple instead of blue.
I borrowed an action replay so I know and I got 4% items with it.

If you have a GameShark or Action Replay, (OR AN EMULATOR!!!) find the cheats for specific beams. Just don't put in the Ice Beam cheat...

aaah, I dont have an action replay, and Im not getting one. Im saving up for the wii

I can't beleive I went through the painstakingly hard process of skipping the screw attack on that game, and to think, I actually did it on accident.....when I got towards the end of the game a friend of mine *coughDragoncough* though I was screwed because I needed it for a part, but I found a spot where you could get through using missiles instead of the screw attack, so I skipped the screw attack.........cheers.......but thats it......

can you skip wave and ice beam? i can skip the long beam

fav item, Varia suit, makes fighting Kraid and getting to him so much easier.. after I've already beaten ridley of course

The only way you can beat the game without the Ice Beam is with some sort of cheat device. Metroids are only vulnerable to the Ice Beam+missiles, and the doors only unlock when all the Metroids are dead.

You can't beat the without ice beam, unless you find how to skip Motherbrain.

I got the rom of zero mission, so I may be inactive for a while trying to sequence break.

riight, its not ice beam its wave, charge and long beam you can skip. Since you have to get teh unknown items.

Fighting Ridley with 1 health tank on hard mode is a pain in the ass

ridley is the easiest boss :P

no tha goes to kraid, deff fat boy Kraid

Especially if you fight Ridley first. Makes him a bit tougher (not much), but makes Kraid as easy as three super missiles in the face as soon as the fight starts.

hmm... its impossible to and beat the game as its a plot device. as in you have to beat her to complete the story

Sequence breaking..........skip scenes..........I have already beat it before, now I want to try by skipping certain areas and items......

If you cheat to have the power bombs as soon as you start then you can skip mother brain, but otherwise you can't.
